Banana Smoothie
2017 April 8

One of my new favorite recipes for breakfast is a modified banana smoothie.

First, if using oats (highly recommended for nutrition) blend the oats dry. Try to get them as powdery as you can.
Take a couple of bananas, a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter, some milk; enough to make it blend smoothly, and a little honey if you want some more sweetener but it’s not necessary. I’ve been adding quick oats as this has a lot of nutrition and if you blend it well you don’t really notice a big difference in flavor or texture. If it’s not blended well then that’s a little more gritty but it still goes down very well. So it’s kind of like a banana peanut butter milkshake but it’s got a lot more nutrition in it. very tasty. Of course you can add protein powder to give it some extra kick and powdered Gotu Kola if you have it which is supposed to be good for your brain. I figure my brain needs all the help it can get 😉

2 bananas (frozen makes it more like a milkshake) The older, the sweeter.
1-2 tbs peanut butter
milk or yogurt (might need some milk to make it blend better)
optional
1/8-1/4 cup quick oats
honey
1/2 tsp Gotu Kola powder
protein powder
